Your Tissot chronograph collection is fantastic. I also have this Tissot Seastar chronograph. So far, I have had a question with this watch about the authenticity of chronograph second hand. The shape and style of the second hand in my watch is similar to yours. Mine is orange color. However, I checked several references of this model in google and found the other same model watches had another style of the second hand. See these websites below.

Do you think this model has several types and color of second hand? Or, the style I have is not the genuine one. You seem to be a watch expert. I would like to hear your idea about my authenticity of the second hand.

Thank you very much,

I own exactly this type of watch (6206-8990T) and am very interested in having it nicely restored, relumed, etc. and have its current plastic feeling "glass" replaced with something of high quality that is scratch resistant.

I saw this post, so was wondering if you can steer me in the right direction in terms of who could do this? Is that you or can you recommend someone?

Thank you,
Rodger Koopman

Nice article and resto. I just recieved a chronomaster from some auction near "the bay" and it arrived from Hong Kong looking pretty good. Has the (lesser :+) Landeron 210 movement, but dial is exc. broad arrow hands are original and show corrosion under mag. but look fine. I'll try and forward the photos. Got mine with the original Croton box and dial reads Croton & below Nivada Grenchen. Lume and hands have mellowed to a brown mustard tone. Bezel insert is very clean and it's a keeper now if my chonograph would just start and stop Ugh!!!. Seems that there are many small dial variations but the watches are always similar. Too bad they couldn't go auto to survive the Quartz boom. Saw Nivada display in Mexico Airport still alive in S. America. but were mostly quartz models boooooo....

I have missed the Bellmatic my brother gave me in 1970 and went online and ended up buying several. Have found the old adage" You get what you pay for " still true. I would like to find someone?somewhere to send these watches to for restoration and wondered if you could recommend anyplace?Thanx joel johnson
